These are cakes for any occasion you would like to celebrate with a cake. Birthdays, Weddings, Rehearsal dinners, retirements, holidays, and anything else you can think of, for a great tasting and custom decorated cake.
Cakes and buttercream are scratch made, beginning with a boxed cake mix for the cake, i.e.: Yellow (standard mix I use), Chocolate, Strawberry, or a flavor boxed cake mix. If one is not available, a flavoring will be added, or a Juice that will accommodate your desired flavor. Also, items like chocolate chips, crushed pineapple, and strawberries can be added to the mix or layered between the layers. Bear in mind that color juices will obviously make your cake that color, which can be part of the decorations or the flavor may need to be changed.
Starting with the boxed mix, a second box is needed to bring the first box up to the weight of the last 432grams that the previous version of the cake mixes weighed. Of course, those of us who use the boxed mix method, would prefer they leave the weight the same and just increase the price a little bit.
With that said, the mix also includes additional flour, sugar, sour cream, milk, and eggs, plus the flavoring.
As of today, May 1, 2026, I have had only positive comments about the flavor of the cakes I've created.
